All of the waterfalls are easily accessible, making Tresonche Canyon a true haven for hikers, photographers, and lovers of unspoiled nature.

Whether you’re seeking adventure or tranquility, this hidden gem in the heart of the Bistra Mountain awaits your discovery.

Tresonche Canyon

The Tresonche Canyon stretches along the course of the Tresonche River, approximately 4 kilometers east of the village of Tresonche. Located in one of the most ecologically pristine areas in the region, the canyon is known for its exceptionally clean air and fresh, crystal-clear waters—making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and adrenaline seekers.

The canyon is traversed by the sparkling Tresonche River, which forms a series of beautiful waterfalls along its course. Hidden within the canyon is also the Alilica Cave—a true challenge and delight for caving enthusiasts and explorers at heart.

Alilica Cave

Within the Tresonche Canyon lie two fascinating caves, known as Upper and Lower Alilica. These two cave entrances are positioned one above the other, forming a unique geological structure. The upper entrance was discovered back in 1975. Inside, there is a 90-meter-deep pit that connects to the lower cave, forming a single, continuous cave system that was fully explored for the first time in 1998.

The lower entrance, part of the second cave, is accessible to visitors and offers an exciting experience for all who appreciate the wonders of nature and underground exploration.
